FORMEDIA wants to be a leader in management education with an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, using the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) in teaching and learning activities for entrepreneurs and managers.
FORMEDIA works with national and international partnerships and networks. More than 50% of its activities are with international partners and outside Portugal.
Eduardo Cruz (edcruz@formedia.pt), Portuguese, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is the Director of FORMEDIA.
Presently Eduardo Cruz is preparing his PhD at UOC - Open University of Catalonia, where he made a Masters Program in Information and Knowledge Society and also a Diploma in Advanced Studies. Before, he studied Management and Sociology at ISCTE in Lisbon, and received his Master Degree in NTIC from UNED in Spain.
He is an ITP - International Teachers Program Alumni.
Eduardo Cruz was Visiting Professor at Wisconsin University – Madison (USA) as well as HEC in Paris (France) and wrote several books on Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Marketing. He is an emeritus member of the EFMB - European Foundation for Management Development, and, in 1999, he organized the European Small Business Seminar, in Portugal, for more than 500 delegates from 43 countries.
Eduardo Cruz made several post graduations at IMD, Columbia, Harvard and has activities in management training and consultancy in Portugal, Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, USA, UK, Macau, France, Ireland, Yugoslavia, Russia, Sweden and Brazil.
